On Boxing Day, 26 Dec we took the opportunity to enjoy acting like a tourist. The snowing had stopped and the sun was shining.
We enjoyed the historic downtown Flagstaff.
We enjoyed Brunch at the Weatherford Hotel. When you open the doors to this hotel you enter the past. Established in 1897 by John Rutherford, this historic hotel was utilized by presidents as well as less-than-savory outlaws. The adventure and intrigue of the old west can be seen in guest rooms appointed with turn-of-the-century decor.
Bunch was ranch eggs, ham and has browns.
After Brunch we continued on our walk.
Here folks are enjoying throwing snowballs to each other.
Flagstaff is surrounded by snow capped mountains,
Snow covered streets .
Small children enjoying fun in the snow.
Snow covered train.
As the afternoon outing was coming to and end we called into The McMillan Bar & Kitchen, Route 66, Flagstaff.
Where it was time for an afternoon champers.
This is some of interior of the Bar and Grill.
We had a great time in Flagstaff and returned to Phoenix on 27 Dec.
Cheers,
B& R
