Vale Joyce Kate Wright

Joyce Kate Wright came into our lives when she and Beverley's father Christopher met after their respective partners had passed away.  Both the Mills and Wright families were delighted that Joyce and Chris had found each other and they went on to share another 25 years of love and companionship.  During those years together they took the opportunity to get out and about.  The photo below is taken at our wedding in 1990 and you can see the smiles on their faces.

Sadly on 9 March Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 90 years of age. On 21 April Joyce joined my father at Mt Thompson Estate where she now rests in a rose garden.
Dad and Joyce enjoyed life and even when they were approaching their later years they were keen to have a good time.  The photo below was taken in 2006 at Gold Coast which is about an hour drive south of Brisbane, after a lunch of prawn sandwiches with the compulsory bottle of vino.

Joyce brought great happiness to many and was much loved.  She will be missed but remembered in our hearts and minds.

Love to all,

Bev and Ross

St Patricks Day

St Patrick's Day is a big day in Canada and in the spirit of things we and our Beaver Dam friends and went along to the James Joyce Bar  at the Crowne Plaza.  Needless to say it was very crowded.  Cathy had a green beer and Beverley had a green margaretta.  The pub was so crowded,we could not get a table so we returned home to Beaver Dam picking up pizzas (not Irish) on the way.

As you can see Ross went to a lot of trouble with his outfit, which he was personally fitted for at the Dollar store.

We did enjoy our pizzas.

On 18 March Dennis Reilly out dear friend from Texas came for a visit.  He had never been to this part of Canada and so we took the opportunity to have a get together with our our lovely friends and now Dennis has Canadian friends as well.

Towards the end of Dennis's stay we decided to try some German food so we went to the Schnitzel House and had a top evening.

It was great to have Dennis come for a visit and it was sad to say goodbye a week later.  However, we will be returning to Texas in the near future and will be staying with Dennis.

Ross has 2 weeks left at university and on 30 April we will be leaving Beaver Dam.   We are still waiting to hear from Canada Immigration regarding our visa extension.

Have a happy day.
Love Bev and Ross
