Fort Collins- Colarado

Fort Collins is about 60 miles north of Denver with a population around 150.000.  It is a very arty city with lots of great restaurants and entertainment.

It also has some beautiful homes.

The Avery House.  This exquisite home was built in 1879 and was the family home of Franklin and Sara Avery and their three children. The home was built of sandstone from local quarries and includes a carriage house, large yard, gazebo, and fountain.

There are more than 29 breweries in this town and we decided to try their beer.

It was all good.

Then off to lunch.  We returned to The Kitchen were we ate some 2 years ago when we met up with Trish and Murray before traveling to The Terry Bison Ranch.  Prior to it becoming a restaurant it was a bank.

This is the vault door from First National bank of Colorado.

A view from inside the restaurant.

The food was excellent as was the service.

Cheers,  Beverley and Ross
