Nashville Pt 2

Just down from our hotel was Nashville's country music entertainment centre and for all you Taylor Swift fans she will be performing in Nashvillle this month.  Earlier this year she donated the profits from a concert in Nashville to the people affected by the recent tornados.

In the same block the famous Legends Bar is located and this is where many of the now well known country performers started off their careers.  We are sure that there must be lots of not so good singers in Nashville however, the performers we enjoyed at Legends were all excellent.

Keith Urban and Nicolle Kidman live in Nashville and they are often seen attending church.

We enjoyed visiting the Country Hall of Fame which houses memorabilar that dates back to the early days of country music and every era since.  We had no difficulty spending some hours here.

Hard Rock Cafes are popular throughout the world and no more so than in Nashville and during our time there the travelling Hard Rock Memorabilia bus came to town.  It was a treasure trove which provided just a sample of some of the many items they have to display.

You will all remember the suit that Freddie Mercury wore.

Just as we all remember Buddy Hollies trade mark glasses.

They also provided a free concert.

After spending the day in the home of country music we enjoyed a meal at Jimmy Buffett's restaurant.  These days he can be found relaxing on his own island.

Nashville is a prosperous city with lots to see and do.

More to follow.

Stay happy, safe and well.

Best wishes to all,
R&B
