Wisconsin is a famous dairy area and is well known for its great cheeses. We stopped off at the Carr Valley Cheese shop and it did not disappoint. The company has been in business since 1902 and continues to win many awards.
They have an amazing array of cheeses.
We bought a selection as you can see from the photo below. Blow our cholesterol levels.
The best part of our visit was to meet up with Scott and Lena his fiancee. They are to be married in September. They make a lovely couple and we wish them every happiness.
While in St Louis we met up with Mike and Tina. The reason for including St Louis with this blog is that Mike, Tina and Scott were all were posted to Australia and this where we all met. Mike and Scott are US Army (Ret) and 5 years ago we all met up at Scott's place for a great weekend. Trish and Murray also joined us. So much has changed for all of us over these years. Trish and Murray sold their motorhome after spending 9 years for 6 months a year traveling around the USA. They are now firmly planted back in Australia but are currently traveling in Europe. Scott has become engaged and Mike and Tina are about to become grandparents.
For us we now have an RV plus a Green Card and having the time of our lives. It was great to catch up with our friends and hopefully we will meet again in the near future.
