Toronto Visit Part 1

Hello again, this time we are off for a week or so to Toronto and Montreal. We left Moncton, New Brunswick on the 8th and after a restful overnight train trip on the Trans Canada rail we arrived in  Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario.  Our first photo is of the internationally recognised symbol of Toronto, the CN Tower.

As usual on our first day of visiting a new city we take the opportunity to do a bus tour which shows us the sights and provides opportunities to plan other activities.  The photo below shows a view back towards downtown from the market district.

On our way back to our hotel we were entertained by a spontaneous display of street dancing which brought everything to a standstill.

As we wandered further up the street we came across an international store which sold lots of favourites from the old Dart as well as the Australian staple of vegemite at $10.50 a jar.

As you know we have a passion for all foods but can never pass an Asian restaurant which offers 2 lobsters in ginger or blackbean sauce at a very reasonable price (and you pick the lobsters live from a glass tank).  We had the ginger sauce and we savoured every bite.

The resturant was great with fantastic staff and was conveniently located across the road from our hotel.

More to follow.

Cheers Bev and Ross
