Log House Restaurant - VA

This evening we dinned at  the Log House Restaurant, Whyteville, Virginia.  In the spirit of 1776, a young man, who had been granted the right on this site in order to work for a large landowner, stopped building in order to fight in the Revolutionary War for the freedoms and independence for America.  All that is known of this man was that he was called Will.  It is also not known if he ever owned the 2 -room tenant house he built.  This is now part of the restaurant.

Inside the original 2 -room tenant house.

The bread,

Beverley enjoyed a stuffed pork loin.  Ross had garlic shrimp.

Following photos are of the property.

Around each corner there is something to see.  Here are the doves.

 The Bar area.

There are several nooks and cranies is an expansive gift shop, which were in the day the areas where the store the carriages.

The outer houses are very pretty and the gardens are full of blooms.

There are even black rabbits.

Pretty little corners.

The adjoining log addition was annexed in 1804 after Main Street, Wytheville, was built and was established as a town.  The final addition was erected in 1898.

It was a most enjoyable evening.

Cheers,

Beverley and Ross
