Montreal Visit Part 2

As mentioned in the previous part of this visit to Montreal there are lots of churches and Notre Dame is certainly worth visiting.  It is a most impressive church.  Should you wish to be married in this church it will cost $2000.00 and there is a long waiting list.  Currently the next available time for a ceremony is 2014.  Many notables have been married at this church including Celine Dion.

Here you see the back chaple of this beautiful church.

While on our bust tour we also visited the Oratory of St Joseph which covers many acres. http://www.saint-joseph.org/en_1001_index.php

Yet another magnificant church is the Cathedrale Marie-Reine-Du-Monde.

We also visited the site of 1976 Olympics.  At the time this style of architecture which considered very creative.  A very good view of the city and surrounds can be seen from the top of the building.

On the last day of our visit we walked along Rue St Denis which has many fine resturants to choose from.

We chose L'Express which was recommended to us from a fellow we met on the Trans Canada.  So we just had to try this place out for ourselves.

We were not disappointed and enjoyed a delightful meal.  It was an intersting menu.

On the way back to our hotel we passed this statue which reminds us of some we have seen after consuming to much red wine.

We had a great trip and are now back in Fredericton, planning our long awaited trip back to Texas.

Stay safe

Ross and Bev

  1. Just caught up on your blog. The last one I read was when you had moved to the flat. Sounds as though you are seeing the sights and tasting some fabulous food. When do you head back to Texas, and how long will you be there for? Have you bought a trailer yet?
