The Claremont Inn provides lots of things for people to enjoy. Cooking classes and demonstarions are just part one of the many things to enjoy. We enjoyed a 3 hour Italian Cooking Class presented by Dave, one of the owners and is a Chef. He had recently returned from Italy hence the Intalian Class.
This is Dave and Harry who are the owners with Sherrie who works there . They were discussing if the ricotta had worked.
It did and here is Dave straining it thought cheese cloth. It is easly to make and consists of only 4 ingredients. It was delicious.
Here is Dave showing us how to roll out a pizza base. It was the best pizza dough we have ever tasted.
There were 12 of us and we were all encouraged to make our own pizzas. Everyone got into the swing of things are we were treated to some delicious servings.
We got to see how to make a variety of different foods including focaccia as seen in the following photo proudly shown off by Sherrie.
We were introduced to the grill method of pizza cooking.
As well as the pizza oven. When using the pizza oven the pizza has to be rotated 30 seconds.
This is the storage room where staff like to go for leftovers.
This was our creation before it went into the pizza oven.
The finished product. It was delicious.
We picked up lots of trips from Dave and met some wonderful people.
Cheers,
Ross and Beverley
